25 Tips for a healthy heart





  1. Eat More of Grains, Vegetables, Beans, Greens, Fruits , Fish & Yogurt.


  2. Eat Less of Cheese & Fatty foods.


  3. Add Garlic to your recipes.


  4. Beta Carotene Rich foods like Carrots, Cabbage,sweet potatoes and dark, leafy green.


  5. Reduce Sodium Intake to no more than 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt per day.


  6. Eat Regular Meals


  7. Drink Water Throughout the day.


  8. Switch from coffee or tea.


  9. Exercise Regularly


  10. Take the Stairs instead of elevator or escalator at office/malls.


  11. Do housework - Take it as an extra form of exercise.


  12. Maintain Healthy Weight


  13. Quit Smoking


  14. Avoid Alcohol


  15. Sleep Adequately


  16. Monitor your Blood Pressure


  17. Monitor your Cholesterol


  18. Work schedule should be regular to avoid too much stress

Remain Fit - The Ayurvedic Way

Ayurveda has been there since ages specially in India but very few of us have been able to utilise in our daily lives. Well, the wait is over and here's simple ayurvedic route to slenderness.
  • While you are preparing food , keep in mind to include all rasas i.e tastes such as sweet,sour,salty,bitter,pungent.
  • Always take warm & fluid food with moderate quantity of fat. Avoid eating items that are kept overnight after cooking.
  • Don't consume food when you are under stress or any emotioanl upheavel as it hampers your digestion. When you are in such a state before your meal, just wait for a while , take some long breaths and bring your mind to food.
  • Don't speak while eating. Not many of us follow as we think this as our prime discussion time but we need to get rid of this habit.
  • Never take shower or bath immedaitely after eating. Wait atleast 2-3 hrs.
  • Avoid vigrous form of excercise after food.
  • Dink shortly before meals or one hour later.

Welcome to Healthy World

Now-a-days in our such a past faced life, everyone is leading stressful and hectic life. Be it a working person or even people staying at home , health is taking a toll. So, I just thought of sharing some quick tips & tricks of keeping healthy with our fast running lifestyle. Afterall, our body too needs care.
To start with here are few Tips for you to ramain fit in Summer time :
Summers are here. So prepare your body to beat the heat.

1. Excerise..Oh I know everyone of us run away from it..But do you know that even 45 min of simple walking is equivalent to your 30min of cardio. So, step out and enjoy refreshing walk. You will see results within few days only.

2.Cut out on fat rich foods such as snacks,biscuits.Increase your protein intake.

3.Water and Water - Drink atleast 2lts of water everyday.In Summers our body swaet a lot so it's really essential to restore all the liquid and maintain balance. It will also keep you cool.

I know we all are aware of these basics but what's harm in having them again :)..
